  2. within that system what 'automation' is being used to administer welfare benefits? (this includes auto assessments, DWP APIs, RTI processing online self service and robotic process assessments)
  3. within that system what 'Artificial intelligence' is being used to administer welfare benefits? (this includes Fraud detection, risk scoring, Natural language processing, document recognition and predictive analytics)

  2. Some ATLAS and UC files that are received are used to update accounts. We consider this automation and advise the customer of this. In addition, we use the DWP APIs for annual uprating of benefits. We do not use robotic processing, or online self-service.
  3. We use DWP analytical data for the selection of Housing Benefit cases which are due for a review. We do not use any of the above examples. The referencing/importing of emails does recognise claim numbers so that emails are referenced/indexed to a claim at the point of upload. This does not contribute towards the actual decision-making process so you may or may not wish to include this in your overall analysis.
