Our health and safety responsibilities to our tenants

All social housing landlords are required to appoint a designated Health and Safety Lead. We have assigned this to Peter Francis, Head of HR, Health & Safety, Corporate PR and Communications.

The Lead’s function is to:

  • Monitor our compliance with housing health and safety requirements
  • Assess our risk of failing to comply with the requirements
  • Notify the Regulator of Social Housing of any risks or failures to comply
  • Advise us how to address risk and failures to comply

The Health and Safety Lead is not:

  • Responsible for our compliance with housing health and safety requirements
  • Liable for a failure by us to comply with the requirements.
