After meeting more than 7,000 of you since January last year with the Community Roots van, we are now heading into the district’s communities once again to focus on issues that matter to you most.
We’ve listened to your feedback and will be out across the district with the van each week to offer information, support and advice on a range of different themes which we know are important to our residents.
This includes help and guidance on education and jobs, the cost of living as well as family support and wellbeing.
You’ll be able to speak to members of DDC's community team as well as our partners who will be on hand to answer your questions and offer general advice.
The different themes will run from Monday to Thursday at locations across the district:
Times and locations will vary each week to ensure we reach as many people as possible. You can find details by visiting https://www.dover.gov.uk/Community/Community-Van-Events/Calendar.aspx
Rebecca Dyer, Community Development Manager at DDC, said: “It is important that we get out into our communities to reach those who need our help and support, who otherwise may not know where to go.
“We are focusing on specific themes where we know there is a need, but we can give general support and advice on a range of issues so please do come and speak to us. We are here to help!”
