Community groups supporting local people with the cost of living are being invited to apply to Dover District Council’s Cost of Living Community Impact Fund – which opens today (Wednesday, 17 Sept).
The popular grants scheme has returned and is set to provide around £50,000 in an autumn/winter round of funding to help local community groups deliver their vital work in our communities. Applicants can apply for grants of £100 - £5,000.
This follows news of a summer round of funding from DDC’s Community Grants Scheme earlier this year, where around £50k was awarded to 72 different groups. The total grant pot of £100k includes funding of £45k from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
The Community Impact Fund is a grant scheme set up in line with DDC’s Cost of Living Plan. Applicants must demonstrate the impact that projects will have on helping to bridge the cost of living gap for the benefit of the local community.
The closing date for applications is 15 October 2025.
Cllr Lynne Wright, DDC’s Cabinet Member for community, said: “Local groups and charities carry out essential work in our communities to help those struggling with the cost of living. We are therefore delighted to help support vital local projects through the Community Impact Fund.”
