UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF)

 

Funded by UK Government

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) was launched by the UK Government in April 2022 and was originally a three year programme to support the Government’s Levelling Up commitment. The Government has now announced that the programme will continue another year with a new set of themes and sub-themes (UKSPF 2025-26 technical note).

Our allocations for each year are:

  • 2025/26: £327,146
  • 2024/25: £702,142
  • 2023/24: £198,572
  • 2022/23: £99,286

So far the funding has been spent on a variety of projects, including:

  • Training programmes, jobs and volunteering fair and our 'BIG training day'
  • Town centre improvements 
  • Public toilet refurbishments
  • Improvements to parks and open spaces
  • Community grants
  • Events to raise footfall in town centres
  • Tourism Campaigns
  • Energy efficiency measures including new boilers and insulation 
  • Three new solar powered smart bins
